Kitchen’s Best Home Patisserie (“Kitchen’s Best”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit kitchensbest.ph or order from us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules.
1. Who we are
Kitchen’s Best is a home patisserie run by Chef Roselyn at G/F Unit 5B, Karrivin Plaza, 2316 Chino Roces Ave Ext, Makati City, Philippines. We are the personal information controller for the information described in this policy.
We serve customers in Metro Manila only. Orders are for pick-up at our Makati shop or for delivery within Metro Manila. We do not deliver to the provinces or outside the Philippines, so we only collect addresses within Metro Manila.
2. What we collect
- Order and contact details: your name, email address, mobile number, billing and delivery address, chosen delivery or pick-up date, and any order notes (such as a message for your cake).
- Account details: if you create an account, your username, email address, saved addresses and order history. Your password is stored encrypted and we cannot see it.
- Payment information: payments are handled by our payment providers. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Messages: anything you send us by email, SMS or social media.
- Reviews: your name and the review you post on a product.
- Website usage: your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and similar tools (see section 6).
Our website is not meant for children. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to place your order.
3. How we use it
- To take, prepare, deliver and confirm your orders, including checking the 2-day advance notice and that your address is within our delivery area.
- To contact you about your order, such as confirmations, changes and delivery updates.
- To create and manage your account.
- To process payments and prevent fraud and spam.
- To keep the records that Philippine tax and accounting rules require.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it and our products.
- To send you news and promotions, but only if you have agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
We process your information because it is needed to fulfil your order, because the law requires it, because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working well, or because you have given your consent (for marketing emails and non-essential cookies).
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share only what is needed with:
- Delivery riders and couriers, who receive your name, mobile number and delivery address to bring your order to you.
- Payment providers PayMongo and WooPayments (powered by Stripe), which process your payment securely.
- Website and email services that keep the site running: our web host (Namecheap), Cloudflare, Jetpack and Akismet (security and spam filtering), and our email service for order notifications.
- Analytics and marketing services: Google Analytics, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Mailchimp.
- Government authorities, when the law requires us to.
Some of these providers store information on servers outside the Philippines. We use providers that commit to protecting personal information to a standard comparable to the Data Privacy Act.
5. How long we keep it
- Orders and payment records: for as long as Philippine tax and accounting rules require.
- Your account: until you ask us to delete it.
- Marketing emails: until you unsubscribe.
- Website usage data: for the limited period set in the analytics services we use.
When we no longer need your information, we delete it or make it anonymous.
6. Cookies
Essential cookies keep your cart and sign-in working; checkout cannot work without them. Analytics and marketing cookies from Google and Meta help us understand visits and measure our ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may stop working.
7. How we protect it
The whole site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Card payments are handled by our payment providers, not stored on our site. Only the people who need your information to prepare and deliver your order can see it, and we use security tools and regular backups to keep the site safe.
8. Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:
- be informed about how your personal information is used;
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is wrong or out of date;
- object to processing, including marketing;
- ask us to erase or block your information;
- receive a copy of your information in a format you can reuse (data portability);
- claim damages if you are harmed by unlawful processing; and
